[mythtv] should I wait, or should I build now?

I think the case they are using is just like this one:

One thing that I like about that case is that it has infrared on the front
(not sure if it is usable by lirc, but I would assume it is).

I plan on using a Morex Cubid 2688R seen here:

But it doesn't have the infrared.
