 I can free some video memory, if I use Standard decoder instead of VDPAU.
 However, I have to choose vdpau rendering to get decent playback quality;
 opengl does not perform well at least by Mythfrontend version 30 with my
 hardware and nvidia 340.107 driver. (I did not test by all opengl
 variants, though.) So I think I had better not upgrade to 31, if it does
 not support VDPAU rendering. Furthermore, If I want to use this hardware,
 I may have to cut out kernel upgrades in near future, if they break
 compatibility with the driver.
