 Thanks! I'm not sure if I can do that too readily with my current setup,
 but I might. Another interesting thing to note that I just tested today:
 The problem videos can be decoded with vdpau using the command line ffmpeg
 (in my case media-video/ffmpeg-3.4.5) without issues...using for example:

 {{{
 ffmpeg -hwaccel vdpau -i <filename> -f rawvideo -y /dev/null
 }}}
