 It seems mythmediaserver has bit rotted from neglect over the years.  This
 is not surprising due to its lack of widespread use and its use of
 libmythprotoserver, which hasn't received a lot of attention since Raymond
 Wagner left the project.

 Known issues include, but are probably not limited to, the following.

 * Doesn't support the QUERY_CHECKFILE command.
 * Doesn't support preview generation commands.
 * Segfaults frequently in the socket handling.

 I will commit a change shortly which adds support for the QUERY_CHECKFILE
 command.  Do not construe that commit as me taking ownership of this
 issue.  I am only committing it because I got that small part working
 before going in a different direction to solve my immediate problem.

 Hopefully, John Poet's work on a "tunerless" backend will obsolete
 mythmediaserver.  When/if that happens, this ticket can be closed.
