 Thanks for the quick turnaround. However, this seems to have made no
 difference. In "information centre", MythTV reports version "fixes/0.28
 (v0.28.2-dirty)", but the sound output is unchanged.

 Specifically, with 5.1, centre and LFE channels are swapped, but other
 channels are correct.

 With 7.1 (both with my original and this version), only front left and
 front right output sound at all, and other channels are silent.
