 I tested this on the Shield remote and a long press just generates the
 same code many times over.

 If I fix it so that the Shield can work with its remote that should also
 enable other limited remotes, so I would prefer not to make it Shield-
 specific or Android-specific, and preferably not specific to certain
 themes.
