 Ran a test all day with only 1 source connected, to the first instance of
 /dev/dvb/adapter0 / diseqc port 1, with EIT running on it.  This resulted
 in consistently successful recordings.  I guess that with this there's no
 use to do the earlier proposed test with the other adapter instances
 deleted instead of not connected to a source?

 Waiting for further instructions or patches! :-)
