Comment:

 Is that where the log ends, i.e. the screen is blank and the last log
 message is "Clearing OpenGL painter cache." ?

 Can you test: Change the playback profile. Set the decoder to "standard"
 and leave the renderer as VDPAU. See if it will play that way.

 If it still does not play that way see if it will play on any other
 profile, for example Slim.

 Let me know the results of the tests.
