 Correct procedure.
 Audio/video plays for 0.5 sec, then freezes for 0.5 sec, then jumps
 forward 0.5 secs. Repeat until end.

 Years ago I saw it on all playback profiles. Retesting I confirm it does
 now play ok with VDPAU/ALSA. Looks like it was fixed by 2a1ccc06a or
 thereabouts.

 I've been reproducing it lately on an XVideo/ALSA test box. Log attached.
 After disabling the 'pause audio when dropping frames'

 it plays smoothly with clipped audio & errors (ALSA: WriteAudio: buffer
 underrun).

 Extra audio buffering doesn't help. I haven't tried increasing the
 hardware buffer.

 I can't get PulseAudio to work at all (PulseAudio: WriteAudio, stream
 write failed: PA_ERR_INVALID)

 And I thought AirPlay broke a long time ago anyway.

 Original issue was raised against VDPAU so I suggest this be closed/fixed
 with the above commit.
