Comment:

 This is still happening, very occasionally. It happened last night. My
 backend never went idle. It was running from midnight to 9 AM, then I
 restarted it. One thing that may be relevant, I exited from the frontend
 last night then immediately started the frontend again, deleted a show and
 a recording rule, then exited the frontend again. It normally seems to be
 associated with stopping a frontend and starting it up again immediately.
