 So https://github.com/MythTV/mythtv/commit/7133fc4  added de-interlacing
 for HLS.

 Encoding at 1080i recording to:
 -960 or 480 looks good
 -720 or 640 looks bad
 -880 or 1040(or most others) looks horrible

 attached are 3 screenshots. The 640 is the default BTW if one does not
 specify a parameter when adding a livestream too, so the default
 experience is not great.
