 The ffmpeg resync from last November mentioned both VideoToolBox and HEVC:

 So, are you saying that we need additional MythTV code to make use of
 features that are in the version of ffmpeg being used?  I thought we got
 most new ffmpeg features 'for free' in a resync.  If that is not the case,
 I think the commit message ought to separate what Myth actually supports.
