 I ran the frontend with verbose output for playback and studied the area
 where I tried exiting a video repeatedly. There's nothing there. Not a
 single indication that I pressed any button on the remote or keyboard
 until I started skipping ahead to get out of the video. I'm not sure what
 more information I can give you.

 This really is quite annoying, especially since I am estimating that about
 95% of the time there is no other way to exit video playback than skipping
 to the end.
