 Responding to dekarl comment13:
 This is how I generated the attached snoop.output file.  I used a
 different backend system to do this as my main backend is busy but the
 results should be the same.
 If I have it wrong let me know:

 Created initial channels.conf with:
 w_scan -fa -A1 -c US -X > ~/.azap/channels.conf
 ran azap in seperate window:
 azap -r 'KYNM Albuquerque, N'
 azap returns:    using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and
 '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
 tuning to 515000000 Hz
 video pid 0x0051, audio pid 0x0054

 with azap running:
 sudo dvbsnoop 0x0051 -pd 9-ph 4 > snoop.output
 Let me know if you make any sense out of this.
