 The bug listed here: https://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/12098 appears to
 be back.  When compiling, it seems to force the frontend to link to
 Nvidia's GLES2 libraries, despite not specifying the build to use EGL.

 I've forced the thing to work with EGL but this seems to have a weird (but
 possibly unrelated) side effect of causing artifacts while seeking through
 x264 encoded videos with a VDPAU decoder.  It is also possible that this
 was a regression introduced by mythtv and isn't attributed to this.
