 Fixed this myself!
 - Exported the existing Mythconverge DB.
 - Recreated MythConverge (from details in this ticket
 https://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/9742)
 - imported the old Mythconverge export.
 - re-ran mythtv-setup
 - Whala ! my system was back up and running- with all my old data too:)
