 My system is configured such that, "Time to record past end of show
 (secs):" is 600, "Category of shows to be extended:" is "sport", and
 "Record past end of show (mins):" is 118.

 From "Watch Recordings", "all programs - default", select a program and
 hit "m".  There might, or might not, be menu item, "stop recording".

 During the scheduled time it is there.  During the 600 second overrun it
 is there.  A long time past the scheduled ending, but while a sports
 program is still recording, the menu item is not there.
