 fphilips found out that masked background images in menu_ui.xml
 dramatically delay startup of mythfrontend (see
 https://github.com/fphillips/blue-abstract-
 wide/commit/b13747811da89c13903ea531a20919609027d738)

 With every <mask> tag the mask images is loaded (and resized in trunk)
 which causes the delay.

 Attached is a fix for it
