Comment:

 The way it works now is a little odd but it seems to be working here. If
 the screen you are on has a visualiser on it then the screen saver will be
 de-activated otherwise it will be activated.

 Does the theme you are using have a visualiser on it?

 Do you not see the

 {{{ScreenSaverX11Private: DPMS Reactivated 1}}}
 and
 {{{ScreenSaverX11Private: DPMS Deactivated 1}}}

 messages in the log?
