 I would like to add the following:

 As this complete EIT on this specific transport will be bigger it will
 timeout before all distinct EIT would be collected (say for a 5 minute
 timeout in my case).

 The active scanning algorithm should be adapted to scan this specific
 transport more often, otherwise this optimization would make no sense.
