 I have looked over the [http://dev.freebox.fr/sdk/os/ free.fr API
 documentation] but could not find anything related to the IPTV service.
 (/freeboxtv on HTTP or /fbxtv_pub on RTSP)
 To fix the recorder we need to know how it is broken aka how does the
 freebox want its keepalive. Is it only RTCP RR, as suggested by
 comment:24, or is that a red herring and we need RTSP keepalive, if so
 which one?

 If anyone can provide some insight into that it would be greatly
 appreciated. A packet capture from the RTSP session setup until the first
 RTSP keepalive / RTCP RR is send may be useful, too. Seeing how the
 freebox player communicates with the box could add some insight, too.
