 I can also reproduce this with some radio stations. It looks like probing
 for the format fails most of the time for some stations but does succeed
 occasionally.

 I might see if using the ffmpeg protocol handling for everything improves
 things since it now handles shoutcast natively and we would get support
 for stations using MMS (Microsoft Media Server) protocol over TCP and HTTP
 for free.
