 Hi,

 I don't know how common this issue is, but just reporting that I've had id
 as an annoyance during the last year, for as much that during the time
 I've been using other software. However, I've now re-tried version
 0.27_p20140321 (on Gentoo) and still got hit by this issue. This is very
 annoying and makes mythtv totally unusable for me.

 However, I will try the workarounds provided here. In case there's
 anything I can too to provide information for fixing this, please ask.
