Comment:

 Actually, given the age of the ticket/patch and the fact that we could be
 waiting some time for a response I'm closing this. Please re-open if there
 is still interest in supporting control of the shutdown behaviour via the
 telnet interface instead of relying on the idle timer added in 0.26
