Comment:

 The Nova-T 500 driver has been riddled with bugs since it first appeared.
 zero-byte recordings are a particular problem if you have active EIT
 scanning enabled on both tuners, the driver just can't handled constant
 use of both tuners with regular channel changes.

 I also have a Nova-T 500 and now rarely see failed recordings after
 disabling active EIT scanning on the second of the two tuners.
