 This used to be an issue for me with dvb-t recordings in the UK, but it
 was content dependent and not really predictable. I don't see it now
 because I use Project-X instead, on 0.24-fixes.  The recent changes
 probably don't apply to that branch, but to be honest, even if they did, I
 don't think I'd feel motivated to switch back to mythtranscode.  Not
 unless it really worked _and_ was frame-accurate; but testing for that
 would be a chore.  HTH.
