In response to hardware failing in my Myth backend box, I removed the HDD
containing my videos and recordings directories and installed it onto a
ClearOS server as a samba share, called /sevenfifty. At the end of the
Mythbackend setup process, Mythbackend correctly writes .test files to the
/sevenfifty/videos/ and /sevenfifty/recordings/ samba shares. But the
Mythbackend setup program still issues a warning saying that the
/sevenfifty/videos/ and /sevenfifty/recordings/ folders are not writable.
I can confirm from a Windows client that the .test files have been
written, I can also store and retrieve files from/to the folders from the
Windows client to the share, MythFrontEnd will play the existing
recordings and videos, and I can putty into Myth box and have it make and
remove a .test directory from the /sevenfifty/videos/ and
sevenfifty/recordings/ samba shares. But the backend will not record
anything new. Myth version is 0.24.1
