 I doubt this has anything to do with invalid refresh rates. This is only
 happening in this certain case, I have never experienced this earlier or
 under different circumstances.

 Also, xrandr only reports 50 and 51 Hz refresh rates for the maximum
 resolution of this 720p TV, and both work fine.
