 Same thing here... I'm on mythtv 0.23.0+fixes24486, backend locks up
 either on expiring livetv or on starting second recording on second dvb
 card. Using EXT/4 with slow delete (also tried without; same result). In
 log file I sometimes get "waiting for a process" or "waiting for threads"
 but usually nothing special when this happens. On the frontend I cannot
 get into the recordings screen. It just waits and after that displays
 empty recordings screen. If I restart the backend process everything works
 fine again.

 This is by far the biggest issue i have with the 0.23 version. Hope this
 gets resolved soon.
