 It does not look like the issue will be fixed in the driver

 So I have a problem between two open source projects. For one project
 there is a fix that works for the other there is none and there's no
 intention for fixing it there.

 As I don't have the necessary knowledge to fix the drivers I'm stuck in
 the middle.

 I guess for now I will have to continue patching mythtv and if stick with
 an old version of mythtv if there are too many changes in mythtv.

 :(
