 Following some further feedback and testing via irc, the ORIGINAL problem
 appears to be slightly different h264 stream types.

 When changing channel on the same source, the player code does not
 recognise the streams as having changed as both are flagged as 1920x1080,
 16:9 and h.264. One, however, uses MBAFF. I've attached a patch that
 attempts to spot the change and recreate the decoder. Hopefully this will
 be sufficient.
