 Worked like a charm, thanks.  That bug didn't come up in my search.  Maybe
 I didn't include "fullscreen" in my search terms or something.

 For anyone else who runs into this, the setting is in the CompizConfig
 Settings Manager --> Utilities section --> Workarounds --> Legacy
 Fullscreen Support.
