 This looks a lot like the mysql server went AWOL for a time, but when it
 came back, mythbackend didn't reconnect.  This bug was fixed in 0.24.

 There may be more to it than than, but I would strongly suggest using a
 newer version, where this is likely already fixed, or mostly so.
