 I tried this today with the latest git version and the problem remains. I
 tested in on Mac OS X 10.6.5 using a current generation Mac mini and an
 Apple Remote. The keys on the Apple remote have to be held down for a
 second for them to register otherwise the apple remote events seem to get
 lost. In normal menus the response is instant.

 And here is the output from a couple of git commands so you can see what I
 built.
 [lime:/data/src/myththtv-0.24/src/mythtv] $ git status
