 @stuarta As requested on IRC I attached to the ticket the output from:
 dvbsnoop -nph -n 10 0x10
 dvbsnoop -nph -n 10 0x11

 I might also note that it didn't seem to give any output without actually
 running VLC at the same time (basically to get a lock).

 Also the command got stuck, and I had to use ctrl-c to kill it after the
 output was received
