Comment:

 MythTV suspends pulseaudio (which you have installed) when it is present.
 This prevents your flash from working.  Myth expects to have complete
 access to the audio subsystem.  You can uninstall pulse and use ALSA
 systemwide if you'd like both to work in tandem.
