 If I configure mythtv to start mythwelcome on startup, I just get the
 default "LCDproc server" displayed on my LCD.  Its only when I actually
 start the frontend that the time is displayed followed by the menu
 selections.

 Suggest when mythwelcome starts, the time is sent to the LCD (or maybe
 even a configurable welcome message ?)
