 attached is the backtrace.  When entering numbers in the guide, the guide
 does respond to single numbers - e.g. 2 jumps to 2, 7 jumps to 7, but not
 to 27.  Eventually a segfault will occur.

 Using VDPAU - did not try in ffmpeg decoder setup.

 Using select to change channels does not work as well - it still brings up
 the recording menu regardless of checkbox status in setup.

 I am using mythbuntu's version lirc - lircd 0.8.3pre1.
