 Is there any progress on this bug?

 This effects ~ 60% of the DVDs I play (100% in the last few weeks).  I end
 up having to drop back to the desktop and run VLC (which plays them
 perfectly).  That's fine for me, but is no good for the various SOs in the
 house.
