 First observed in SVN 21253. Rolled back to SVN 20574 (detailed below) and
 now no longer occurring, i.e. 20574 is fine, breakage occurs sometime
 after 20574, but has definitely occurred by 21253.

 This only happens 'every so often' - perhaps one recording in four. It
 only occurs on my DVB-T card (my DVB-S card has exhibited no problems).

 Kernel (2.6.29-gentoo-r5) and GCC (Gentoo 4.3.2-r3 p1.6, pie-10.1.5) have
 remained the same through SVN revisions.
