Comment:

 There is a bug here, the DELETE action is not working for some reason, it
 did when I was porting the screen so I'm a little baffled. However the
 behaviour you described with it deleting all the channels does not happen,
 you must have clicked the "Delete All" button by mistake. Pressing MENU,
 then selecting Delete still works for deleting individual channels.
