Log:

Rework the DELETE_FILE backend code slightly to always spawn off a
thread to do the actual delete whether we're truncating slowly or
deleting the while file in one shot.  This allows the DELETE_FILE
command to return to the caller as soon as the file has been
unlinked to help speed up UI responsiveness.
