 Yesterday I tried svn code to rule out any packaging issues: built from
 sources from the svn 0.21+fixes branch and also trunk as of yesterday
 9/28/08. Same result!

 That's another data point - hopefully useful for the devs. This means you
 should hopefully be able to reproduce the problem on a trunk build + the
 recordings I provided in my bug submission.

 A workaround would be very welcome as well (if there's a way to override
 some of the player behaviour somehow).

 Let me know if I can help debug this further.
