 After qt4 upgrade, I noticed that the TV osd menu doesn't disappear after
 selecting an option. It remains until I select the "ESCAPE" action.

 I'm not sure if this is desired behaviour, but attached is a patch that
 reverses that.

 let me know if I should junk this ticket if its the desired behaviour.
