 When you push the button (Alt+F7) multiple key presses are stored in the
 keyboard buffer and the signal meter toggles on and off until keyboard
 buffer empties. What ever happens to be the last toggle in the buffer is
 the state you will end up with. It may be on or it may be off. This
 switching on and off rapidly puts a strain on some part of the video
 capture and sometimes can lock up the card or crash the backend. You can
 watch the signal meter toggle on and off on the screen.
