Use inheritance in controls-ui.xml. N.B. For themers: mythui widgets can inherit from each other which helps to cut down on the repetion and makes global theme changes childsplay. This isn't the best example of the inheritance capability, ideally the buttonlist, fonts and other suitable elements would inherit from a single definition in base.xml. Once we've figured out the best choice for font definitions, this is what will be done, at least in the core themes.
