 I can confirm that bob de-interlacing is causing the issue.
 I use recent svn, and turning bob on (really necessary as picture quality
 is poor without it) makes epg really slow.

 I have three frontends, sempron cpu and 1gt ram seems to have unusable
 epg. One frontend has 2gt ram and athlon X2 5000+ cpu, and there epg is
 little better, but still slow, and sometimes it freezes for 5-10 secs.

 Without bob, epg is just ok. Also without preview picture, started from
 manage recordings-menu.
