 Daniel,
 Although FindAudioKeyframes is passed the packet as argument it does not
 actually make any use of it.  It simply notes that a packet has been
 received and generates a keyframe entry if the video hasn't.  It seemed to
 me that it was safe to use it for all non-video packets which is what my
 patch does.

 I obviously don't want to break anything else so if you feel happier with
 Bradley's patch please go with that in place of my backend changes.  It
 may be true that there really is no advantage in being able to fast
 forward and that a simple skip to the real video/audio is sufficient.
