Comment:

 cmath should define int abs(int) in ANSI C, so the bug would be in your
 system libs not in MythTV.

 This also works for me on intrepid with "gcc (Ubuntu 4.3.2-1ubuntu11)
 4.3.2", try doing an "apt-get update; apt-get upgrade" to get the latest
 and greatest.
