Log:

Change the default drive speed setting from 2 to the max of 12, this is the user friendly place to start since most people having playback problems with the slower drive speed never make the connection to this setting. There are threads in the -user list, forums and in IRC of people reporting stuttering with DVDs and switching to mplayer or xine instead.
